Comparison
Vidaset vs Qwilr
Qwilr replaces the PDF proposal with an interactive web page, and tells the sales team when the buyer opens it. Vidaset keeps the PDF, because in production the quote is forwarded to procurement, printed and attached to a purchase order, and puts the work into what is inside it.

When Qwilr is the better choice
- You run a sales team with a CRM and want proposals generated from it.
- Knowing when the client opened the proposal matters to how you follow up.
- Your clients are happy to sign and pay on a web page.
When Vidaset is the better choice
- You price shoots, with crew, kit, post, fees and markups.
- Your client forwards the quote to procurement or attaches it to a purchase order, so it has to be a PDF.
- You are a production company, not a sales team, and want the quote done in one sitting.
Questions
Can Vidaset tell me when the client opened the quote?
No. Vidaset makes a PDF, and a PDF does not report back. If tracking matters to you, Qwilr or a similar tool does it.
Why a PDF and not a web page?
In production the quote travels: to procurement, into a purchase order, into the client archive. A PDF goes everywhere and looks the same everywhere.
Does Vidaset do e-signatures?
No. Sign with the tool you already use.
Where is Vidaset data stored?
On your account, in a database on servers in Frankfurt. Turn on encryption in your account settings and they are encrypted in your browser first, so nobody but you can read your quotes, not even us.
